*CHECK PINNED COMMENT* This video shows you how you can still use the activity chart to obtain EMF 5 in Phasmophobia! I absolutely love the way it works right now, first of all it looks way cleaner but it's also a much more active tool to use, rather than just knowing EMF 5 immediately upon looking at the graph you now have to know what caused the spike (by being in the house) to figure out if it could be emf 5. According to DK this is fine so it will most likely remain possible to read EMF 5 from the graph, it will just be much more skillful than before. Hope you enjoy (and understood) this explanation! TL;DR if you see a high spike for a minor event you know it's probably EMF 5, this will remain true on the next patches to come.
Full story: This video misses one thing: It's not true that emf 4 and 5 give always give a reading of 3 on the graph. Instead the activity chart actually shows every EMF event with a random -1 or 0 value subtracted from the true value.
Luckily this doesn't change much about what I explained in the video, it still works the same way: if you see a 3 or 4 for an event that can have at max 1-2 activity you know it's EMF 5. ALSO: I had a short chat with DK and he is fine with this being possible, however it is going to slightly change in the next patch, it's going to be a random value between -1 and +1 of the true value instead of only -1 and 0. But that won't change much about what I explained in this video. In short: If you see a high spike for a minor event you know it's probably EMF 5, this will remain true on the next patches to come.
