Electromagnetic Fields (EMFs) have been a focus of concern and research since the beginning of widespread mobile phone use. To date, the World Health Organization states no link has been found between EMFs and human health at low levels. Harm has been confirmed at high levels. As we use more and more devices for longer periods of time and are surrounded by others doing the same, common sense begs the question of just how safe are we, especially children. While data shows no need for alarm, there are still some common sense approaches Dr. Nicole suggests parents take to help keep their kids safe from any potential harm coming from extended exposure to EMFs. And there is new evidence that there are people who are more sensitive to EMFs, making people feel irritable or making it hard for them to sleep.
4 Common sense EMF precautions:
1. Turn your Wi-Fi router off at night (use a timer or simply shut it off)
2. Keep devices out of the bedroom at night (if in room, but it in airplane mode)
3. Keep devices off your body
4. Keep devices aware from your head (use headphones, but be cautious about wireless earbuds)
